What You Need To Know
The Holiday Hop is all about growing awareness of your business. By hosting an experiential activity, holding a promotion, and donating to our Scavenger Hunt prize you’ll engage with customers while they learn about your business.
You may increase same-day sales, but most importantly your participation helps your business stay “top of mind” to new and repeat customers.
Being a stop on the Scavenger Hunt requires your participation in at least one of the following:
- Offer an experiential activity or promotion (we’ve got ideas to share; see below)
- Donate to the giant prize
- All the above!

During the Hop, area businesses offer special activities and promotions to celebrate the season and encourage sales. Already on tap for this year are a visit from Mr. & Mrs. Claus, holiday craft making, musical entertainment, our annual Scavenger Hunt, great prizes and much more! The BEAT Bus will transport visitors along Main St. and up the Cassady Corridor. This year’s event will be capped off with the City’s tree lighting at Drexel Circle. All participating businesses are expected to stay open during the entire Hop, from 12 – 4:00 pm.
SCAVENGER HUNT:
All participating vendors will receive a snowflake ornament to “hide” in plain sight within your business. Visitors of all ages will search for the snowflake. Once they find it, place a stamp (which we provide) in their Holiday Hop Passport. Participants with eight (8) or more stamps will be eligible to enter one of three fabulous gift baskets, comprised of gifts from Bexley businesses, at Johnson’s Real Ice Cream.
Your Contribution to the Gift Basket: A $25+ gift card to your business or $25 towards one of our three themed gift baskets (your name will be prominently listed as a donor).

The Holiday Hop is a family engaging event, designed for all ages. What a better way to get potential and returning customers to experience your business and hospitality.
Offer a promotion or a "come back coupon"
Host a hot cocoa bar
Create an antler-making workshop
Decorate dreidels and play games with them
Offer face painting
Decorate cookies
Make snowglobes
Partner with another business
RETURNING THIS YEAR: Pop-up opportunities for vendors without a street brick and mortar presence! Tents will be available on a first-come basis to those requesting them. Contact the Chamber office to reserve yours. Tents will be strategically located nearby brick & mortar locations. Non-member vendors will be assessed a $50 participation fee.
MARKETING: All participating businesses will be promoted via the Chamber’s regular marketing avenues including online, social media, and a Holiday Hop Vendor poster and a sign for your business. We'll be passing out “Save the Date” cards soon, for you to spread the word of your participation.
COST: This event is FREE for Chamber Members. Non-Chamber members may participate for a $50 fee, (includes use of a tent), or may participate free after purchasing a one-year Chamber membership ($150). Memberships available online.
